a) It has painstakingly selected the works to be translated taking into account the most urgent needs of the University and combining them with the requirements of a wider cultural market. This guarantees the balanced presence of the different fields of knowledge at the same time making classical reference works compatible with the high dissemination volumes of more recent times.

b) In order to ensure maximum quality in the content of the translations published in "Pentsamenduaren Klasikoak", besides selecting the most apt translator for each work, the collection has established a system of supervision, carried out by eight people who are specialists in each field and then, before publication, all the texts have been linguistically homogenised without impairing the dialectical contributions that unified Basque must be open to.

On the order hand, special care has been taken with the prologues to the translations, composed almost always with the collaboration of first calibre experts and specialists. The footnotes and the bibliographies have likewise been the object of special care.

c) With respect to the design of the collection and its presentation, the best specialists in corporate image have been consulted and the result achieved is fully satisfactory for elegance as well as sturdiness.
